Behind The Scenes Casino Tour - $25, 1-hour
Step back in time 85 years to an era when big band leaders were king and " talkie " motion pictures were the latest fad. Experience this historic building like never before, with unprecedented access to the backstage areas. You’ll put yourself in the footsteps of the performers, past and present when you visit the projection room with its original 1929 equipment on display. This tour requires an uphill walk on ramps and steep stairs.
Zipline Eco Tour - $115, 2-hours
Sour 300’ above the canyon floor at speeds of over 40mph. This 3600’ zip line is comprised of five stations. Securable, close-toed shoes required. 240-lb weight limit for riding solo; under 80 lbs must ride tandem with other rider. 5-9 yr olds must ride tandem with guardian at least 18 yrs old (235 lb weight limit riding tandem).
Dolphin Quest - $45, 1-hour
Search Catalina's Coastal waters for dolphins and whales in a Rib Craft Wave Runner Boat. The winter months increase the possibility of spotting whales! This activity is not for those with back or neck issues, motion sickness, or expectant mothers.
Safari Island Adventure - $84, 2.5 hours
Climb into an open air safari vehicle for a guided eco-expedition that takes you to the outback areas and coastal canyons of the Island Conservancy, home to wild animals like bison, fox and bald eagles. Journey up the tree lined "Old Stagecoach Road" from sea level to an elevation of 1604 feet. Featuring picturesque scenery, your bumpy transport makes it's way through rugged terrain, venturing to Gallagher's Canyon, Swain's Canyon and coastline areas such as "Smugglers" and "Rippers" Cove. The wild animals roam free, which makes every sighting an exciting bonus. On clear days enjoy the 360 degree panoramic views.
Nautilus "The Yellow Submarine" - $24-31, 45-minutes
Join the captain and his crew on the semi-submersible SS Nautilus (you are seated 6-feet underwater but the Nautilus does not fully submerge). Armed with fish food torpedoes, you will venture into the deep kelp forests on an exploratory mission that is both educational and entertaining. Evening missions also available seasonally for viewing the undersea night life that only begins after dark!
Glass Bottom Boat - $14-18, 45-minutes
If you feed them they will come... describes this timeless attraction. The crystal clear waters of Lover's Cove are home to a rich variety of undersea life. Guides help you identify fish, plants and other ocean inhabitants. Aboard the Sea View, you can feed the fish through specially designed food drop tubes, viewing them from above via the glass panes on the bottom of the vessel. Perfect for those who'd rather be in an open-air boat (versus the submarine).
Mysterious Island Tour - $22-28, 50-minutes
Explore the strange and extraordinary side of Catalina Island with an experienced guide. As featured in the book by Jim Watson, "mysterious Island Catalina" you'll hear tales of ghosts, UFOs, mysterious animals, and some of Catalina's famous residences, such as Marilyn Monroe. Traverse Avalon Canyon in our comfortable coach, viewing iconic landmarks such as the Holly Hill House, Wrigley Mansion, and the former spring training site of the Chicago Cubs. This in-town excursion includes the majestic 360 degree views that have made Avalon (the Bay of Seven Moons) famous.
